Looe, Cornwall
Today’s post is all about the quaint fishing town of Looe located on the south coast of Cornwall, England.
Scenic route around Looe
Luckily the day of which I decided to do a post about Looe (which was long overdue.) It was glorious sunshine and we decided to go for a lovely walk all around Looe and out to the headland on Hannafore. I didn’t take any pictures of the actual town centre with all of the shops (that can probably be for another blog post.) But of the scenic routes. The best views I think are from the bridge especially when the tide is in.
Looe island
Looe also has a little island off of its coast which is a nature reserve. In the summer months you can go on boat trips to and around the island to see all of the wildlife it has to offer. The island itself is rather small so you can walk around it roughly in 40 minutes. Make sure to being a pair of binoculars if you want to see the huge variety of bird or even the seal colony that often resides at the back of the island.
SUMMARY
Looe is a lovely town to visit for a day. There is a soft sand safe beach and lovely walks for when the weather is good. However, if the weather isn’t great there are lots of small independent shops to have a browse in. I hope you enjoyed this little blog post all about Looe.
Check out this article I did with Tencreek which will give you shopping and restaurant recommendations too!
