Siblyback Lake, Bodmin Moor, Cornwall
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s pots is all about Siblyback Lake / Siblyback dam. I visited Siblyback many times as a child. The dam is a place you can: go to play in the park, have a cup of coffee, a spot of lunch, have a walk around the lake, try out the high ropes course, go fishing or even partake in some water sports!
Hiring at water sport activities at Siblyback
I do vividly remember hiring out a rowing boat with my family when I was very young and rowing around the lake on a beautiful summers day. As well as being able to hire out rowing boats they also have kayaks, canoes, paddle boarding, wind surfing and sailing.
What to do in the Winter at Siblyback
I visited in the winter and so, unfortunately most of the activities are shut. However, that doesn’t stop you from going on a 3 mile stroll around the lake. Siblyback is located right on Bodmin Moor allowing plenty of scenic views and wildlife watching opportunities. The walk itself is pretty flat meaning you can take a bike and have a cycle around the lake, which would probably take a quarter of the time!
CAR PARKING
Siblyback has its own car park meaning you don’t need to worry about
parking on narrow country roads. However, there is a cost for this which is a minimum of £2. But, the money does go back into the up keep of the facilities, which is great.
