Lantic Bay, Polruan, Cornwall

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Todays post is all about Lantic Bay which is located on the south coast of Cornwall near Polruan

Car parking

Lantic Bay is National Trust owned bay meaning you can park for free if you are a member!

Walks to take

Lantic bay has fantastic coastal walks, you can walk to Pencarrow Head, Lansallos, Polruan or even Polperro! If you walk over to Polruan you can actually catch a ferry across to Fowey which is a lovely experience. I will leave a link here to my Polruan and Fowey blog post.

Accessibility

Lantic Bay beach itself is a bit difficult to get down too, so if you have young children or elderly family members it might not be the most suitable beach for a visit. Nonetheless it’s beautiful, so admire the view of the towering cliffs covered with gorse on your way down.

The past few times we’ve visited I have spotted a herd of sheep grazing on the headland making for some picturesque Cornish scenes, so have a camera at the ready.

In the summer months I believe that many boats anchor up in the bay as it is not too far from Plymouth and Fowey.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and it inspired you to give this beautiful Cornish beach a visit a visit. Why not also check out the Cornish towns of Polruan and Fowey and Polperro while you’re near by.

Lots of love, Melissa x
